Archival: Suzuki Swift magazine advertisement (2005) (Singapore)

Fun and jovial! is the intention of the 2005 model year Suzuki Swift.
Soon to become a thing of the past?
The ZC31 Suzuki Swift is now becoming 20 years old. In the next few years, most will see their renewal period, as is every other legacy vehicle.
But the Swift no doubt has been a bit of a social mainstay in Singapore for several decades. Then and now, it has been a largely successful model for the Singapore market, with both the normal variants and the sporty hot hatch ones.
These advertisements feel so alien compared to advertisements of today. Nowadays, advertisements have gotten more “real” or serious, compared to something like this advertisement. But additionally, most advertisements are also videos now, and stunning city landscapes and hilly backdrops are easier to do than studio setups.
By the way, getting a Swift will have a 80% unverified chance of landing you in the same position as the guy second to the left. The amount of times I have heard women being interested in the Swift, particularly the Sport, is shocking.
This scan is lifted from a Motoring (Singapore) issue from February 2005.
