Penang: Old cars, old camera

Light fun with an old camera.
I always like the notion of old cameras and old subjects. And while this camera is not as old (2010s), the 2020s is a time where you and I definitely have gotten used to “good” quality.
Smartphones don’t accentuate significant moods anymore in their pursuit of photo quality and capturing photos as close as the human eye can make of it, but it has eliminated much of the imperfections in images that some people still chase for.
Its akin to using VHS or handheld camcorders because the footage looks old and terrible – but more importantly sets the place and time; its moody. This, my Samsung NX 3000, is on neither extreme ends of good or bad. I don’t think the now-spoiling sensor is doing it any favors.
But it looks the part and definitely pushes a moodier energy to the photos. Perhaps fitting for appearing in a Malaysian forum in the 2010s.
