Feriko: CV joint failure

Exploded the CV joint again.
Mountain fun turned mounting fuss with the breakage of the CV joint that was repaired close to a year ago.
My differential is an open type, and so the breakage of a single joint immobilized the vehicle when it broke as I was on power exiting a corner.

Stranded on the North-East side of Penang island is not a good location to break down at. Zero workshops and few civilization apart from the occasional durian stores means help is far away, and network breakage when it happens doesn’t help matters.
The tow was RM310, the repair of the repaired CV joint was RM220 and the eventual replacement for both CV joints to AISIN units were RM320 each, labor RM250 with other items. It wasn’t a cheap day.
