Indeed, I have put down money I choose not to disclose for a new stack of catalogs that will likely show up on the website soon. Otherwise, they’re all new additions to my increasingly worrying collection of random catalogs.
Honda Orthia catalog, Honda Access Accessories catalog and pamphlet
This is a Honda Orthia catalog alongside an Accessories catalog and pamphlet.
Honda Accord Euro R catalog
This was cheap where CL7 Accord catalogs go. This will also be scanned, and possibly be sold on after it was been digitized on the website.
Honda Super-ONE catalog, Honda Access Accessories catalog
To further complete the set of Super-ONE memorabilia, I’ve taken ownership of these two newer publications for the car. The previous ones are likely the newest printed media for the Super-ONE, and these are more fleshed out and “standardized” where catalogs are concerned.
Autozam AZ-3, Mazda MX-6, Eunos Roadster (NA) & Presso, ɛ̃fini RX-7 catalogs
Very cheap auction for this set of nine catalogs were acquired. The RX-7 catalogs were in my radar and for the price for one comes with the rest of these catalogs which are around similar price ranges.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1-3 catalogs, accessory catalogs
Pretty penny, these. But for the price of two is three here, alongside some extra pieces that would likely cost a premium on their own. These might just fuel my obsession for the CB-generation Lancer…
Non-scannables
Smaller haul than the messes I was doing last year… there are two very cheap steering wheels that I managed to secure that will likely be sitting ducks in an unsustainable collection.
This is a second-generation Suzuki Alto Works (CN21S) steering wheel without the horn button. For under ¥1,500, its in surprisingly good condition with exception of a small hole in the top part of the rim at the back. Otherwise no hardware and no horn button, which for the price is expected.
And there is another steering wheel. Its a MOMO Daytona 3 – Daytona being the series and number the number of spokes.
This wheel was an optional or standard equipment for many performance cars of the 1990s. To my knowledge, the Lancer Evolution may have used this, alongside the FD-generation RX-7 and NA Roadster. But more relevant to me is this is standard equipment for the Proton Wira 1.8 EXi (C99).
It was cheap where the Daytona series is concerned, but it has seen moderate sun damage and has a few “chips” at the top of the rim. It is still better than some of the Malaysian listings even if it isn’t perfect.
So paired with the Lancer Evolution catalogs and this steering wheel… its a half-baked plan in five or so years.
