Introduction: Efini

Unofficial face of this blog page. No, I don’t smile that often like the logo.
Hello! If I could guess, my post may have been shared to your feed and you consider this website to be.. different from how many write or post nowadays. Or you’ve seen me on Straits Times of recent and would like to know more. In any case..
Good day. Primarily, I involve myself in real-life locations and events, which will be one of the frequent themes for the blog. I will likely be the public face of this website (for worse), as my fellow writers are almost all happy to stay in the sidelines and maintain their anonymity.
I am normally very socially awkward, so if you read this before meeting me, please bear that in mind.

What you could expect
Primarily older cars. It doesn’t have to be infamous or sought after – I have a keen (blind) eye on older vehicles as a whole, not just the Fast & Furious stereotypes. Anything interesting, odd, or uncommon, I will always do a double take.
I do have the interest to write. I mean, this blog site is just that. Archiving too, be it cars as the subject, locations, information and more, are what you’ll see here often.

My doohickeys (applicable to me)
If you are keen on what I normally use, its a Sony a6400 with 55-210mm or 16-50mm lens. Some variations include Samsung smartphones, old iPhone, Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo, Samsung NX3000 and a few others. Some like my old iPod Touch (4th generation) have been retired, but you might see some photos here and there of it. The Sony has been and will be my workhorse, which has been for about four years by now.

Any motoring history?
If you have read the Straits Times article, you would understand I am rather young to own a classic car. I understand I am not a representation of the majority locally, and it is also not sunshine and rainbows living like this. I will be upfront that it is not a fun position to have put myself in.
As of late-2025, I own a 1992 Honda Civic Ferio SiR (dubbed Feriko), a 1992 Lotus Elan SE (dubbed Elanmi) and co-own a 2004 Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo-R (dubbed Trek). You’ll definitely find more of them under the “Ownership talks” section of the page.
My motoring antics with what me and my family has is listed in the Ownership Talks category in the website.

Many old flames have ignited and extinguished when with my family. Most recently gone was a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EX GT. SJJ7331C has by now been perished under the watchful sun that is the COE system.

What’s a hopeful goal I have?
I just want to maintain what I have and perhaps look into the veil of neighbouring Malaysia. The photo below was taken in 2022, and prices have only gotten far worse these days when rewriting the introduction in 2025 and now in 2026.
I cannot dream for more, and I hope not to crave for more. I would like to keep what I have for as long as possible for time has shown my commitment to sentimental value. I wish COE would go down, but as I rewrite this in mid-2026, that’s a laughable dream.

Back in 2022, I wrote that my dream cars to own in Singapore was a Daihatsu Charade GTti and Suzuki Swift GTi. Safe to say those dreams are dashed now, but someday… in Malaysia, perhaps.
I am one of the core contributors to this blog page, alongside my good mates Emiri, SatriaRX and Inspiron. Thanks for checking in, and I hope you enjoy what you read here.
