I don’t really have a way and place to compile everything I have about my Lotus Elan, so I’ll probably format it in a similar way to how I do my Traffic Spots series. Furthermore, with the introductory post about the Elan, I don’t think I can segment the posts in a way that will be in line with that original post, so it’ll be condensed into this single post. Here goes:
9th September 2023
First viewing, unit was not in immaculate shape, middle part of rubber lip not attached properly, one headlight bulb non-functional.

Handover, bringing back to MSCP, checking spare parts
Sealing for the Elan is notorious for being useless out of the gate, high priority for this car is trying to get it in a watertight state, rest can come later.

Further check-up on sealing, they need replacing one way or another, condition is very poor and has super obvious holes.

Inspection of rubber lip, needs replacing at some point, but unsure of where to find.

Bumper and lip are not in the best condition, lip no doubt would want to fall off, bumper is not mint when looked closer.
Had thought about keeping one device in the car for music, don’t have a decent spot for it though.
Don’t have the time for a wash. It’ll be cleaned eventually.

Second search for a BOV with the help of the Lotus Elan Central forums. There are no visible BOV here, but I suspect that its located within the fender. Suppose a 2000’s setup.
I honestly don’t know what’s happened here.

Application of side stickers, I still think it turned pretty good, although there are other more ambitious designs I want to do at some point

Mold overtook the bloody interior. Haiz. Cleared the mold (Or at least any that we could find), will probably have to take it to a detailer soon to sort it out.
