Archival: Mitsubishi Lancer catalog (~1992) (Japan)

The first-generation of Mitsubishi Lancer whose significance lies with post 1980s quirkiness and start of the Evolution series just after the Galant’s rally success.
This Mitsubishi Lancer generation is getting more appealing by the day.
This generation of Lancer, model code CB (particularly perfect for Singapore and Malaysia), was quite an odd one, including the one after though its quirks came with this generation. The Evolution models were definitely cool, but hey, the normal variants were really a product of the late 1980s and early 1990s technology.
Mitsubishi offered a 1.5-litre Dual-Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) engine with a carburetor (4G91), and 1.6-litre DOHC V6 (6A10). Seriously, a DOHC carbureted engine and a Singapore Category-A COE-friendly V6 is just strikingly crazy to think about. The 4G91 four-pots still live in in many Malaysian Proton Wira (rebadged Lancer of this generation) while the V6 has mostly vanished out of the public eye. Interesting cars, these are.
Catalog scanned from a possibly 1991 or 1992 release.
