This burnt Benz is ’bout to see its burial.
Car fires in Singapore remain… once in a while (leg warmer possibly improves the rates), but it has caught this particular car out.

This W211-generation E-Class is a E200, upbadged to a E300.
That E300 would have been powered by a 3.0-litre M272 V6, but this E200 is powered by a 1.8-litre M271 four-cylinder with supercharger outputting 181 horsepower and 250Nm. As told, higher beings may not have liked the fake badges and smited it, or it was equipped with the unpopular 5G-Tronic transmission.
It is a 2002 model year vehicle, registered in 2003 and renewed twice previously. Most W211 standing are facelifts (this is a pre-facelift), and are commonly E200. Facelift W211s are more common as the pre-facelift was sold via fleets to SMRT as taxis – private buyers tend to discourage such association of their own cars.

This car was pending insurance when it was seen here, and has since been deemed a total loss and deregistered. Its now available for parts at a local car scrappage agency.

It is in a worser condition since arriving at the scrapyard. Likely other W211 owners have been eyeing parts from it alongside general neglect.

The wheels – 16-inch ‘Toliman’ OEM wheels – have been bought and installed onto Inui’s Mercedes-Benz E280 S211, Replacing the old 5-Spoke Rucha rims.
