Tourist in Japan: Car-spots outside Takashimaya (in Japan)

Orchard Road is looking fresh! Wait, is this Orchard?
Past visiting Odaiba and sightseeing, we shift focus and location to another place in mind – Takashimaya.
And for my overseas friends confused at the title and standfirst, I must explain myself..

Takashimaya is a very well-established building back in Singapore in the heart of the shopping district that is Orchard Road. They have been around for a few decades and for Singaporeans, is amongst the few Japanese names we know that we don’t fully (need to) know the origins of. Something like Toyota for example – we know what it is, but don’t know its origins.
And so I find myself here at Nihonbashi Takashimaya Shopping Center. One fun fact is that its elevators are still old-school; requiring manual operation to be used.
We find ourselves here (by choice) to sightsee the first Takashimaya and its consequent influence in Singapore’s shopping district. The stores and layout is definitely reminiscent to the one back home.

Still, it isn’t for us even if in a different country. We don’t have big pockets or are old enough to worship self-care products. So while part of the group is separated for nearby commodities, I sit outside of Takashimaya in the freezing wind to photograph the cars that pass by.
I must admit, the stretch outside of the mall is pretty alright. Several enthusiast cars rolling by especially an itasha rolling through.. not bad to spend the evening.
