Tourist in Japan: Supercar dreams

Flash and revs; this bright supercar convoy is uniquely Japan.
Resuming the other casual writeup is this continuation of the supercar convoy.
This is a niche subculture Lambosozoku, similar in some aspects to the Bosozoku style of cars but instead of brazen bodykits on old cars, its brazen lighting on Lamborghinis.

Flashing supercars is not a localized thing; its common throughout every country to showcase something of value, but little countries willingly accept such brazen modifications like mirror paint finishes and neon flashing lights. Flashing supers are the common stereotype, but literal flashing supers are.. less common.
In a sense, it goes two ways; the carbon-fibre slits and cuts – flashy in design, and the neon flash and dash – flashy in colors and LEDs somewhat close to blinding others.
Most places label it as outright illegal and grounds to mock and shame, but doing it here in Japan is not just more accepted; it paves a striking recognition that directly opposites the sneering that people of other nations would do.
These fall within both, but the interest lies with the cars that have said lights and paint.

Again, its a pretty niche subculture of cars in Japan, one that isn’t often seen even in other types of cars. Liveries seen in Bosozoku, racing or Itasha styles don’t make heavy use of these paints or LED lights in this manner, making this a rare form to see.
This convoy is made up primarily of Lamborghini Aventadors, in varying trims like the desirable SVJ and roadster variants, followed by a Rolls-Royce Dawn and 911 Cabriolet.

This was.. an unexpected spot at my time here in Odaiba. Perhaps there will be more in the coming days then. Japan’s car scene remains to be explored.
