Fictional: Late-night gatherings

3 AM dissociation with friends!
Heya~
Sometime ago was a small meet with one of the Japanese clubs here in Celestar.
Several 1990s Japanese sports cars (and a Malaysian) met, creating an atmosphere linking back to an early 2000s car scene.
For my fellow friend and writer, the most interesting car that joined was a Daihatsu Charade GTti. Its one of a handful left here, including the higher-spec and parallel-imported higher-spec and Japanese-market GTXx.

These like the other cars such as the Civics were cheap and disposable speed, the GTti being a cheap hot hatchback making – you can guess – only a hundred horsepower.
Its better to refer to it as a warm hatch, but not only will Efini argue with me, the GTti had very little weight, weighing no more than a tin can at 800 kilograms. This made enough for the little car to hit 100km/h in only eight seconds, fast for its time and tieing with a Civic VTi B16!
Not to mention that the hundred horsepower came from a 1-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine (CB70/80) that was crowned as the first car to make a hundred horsepower per litre, an impressive force to be reckoned with! Combined with front and rear MacPherson struts and longitudinal control arms for added stability, the GTti handled close to the cornering ability of its hot hatch peers.

Unfortunately, its arch rival, the Suzuki Swift GTi, was not present, nor did its spiritual successors the Daihatsu Boon X4 or Toyota GR Yaris make an appearance. I’ve spoke with the owner of the GTti to arrange an article with all three options, and one you might see in a future post!
It was great hanging out with the club, if it wasn’t just “disassociating” with one another throughout the night. Do invite me again sometime!
