A momentary return to home with a Volkswagen Beetle cabriolet.
Was on the way to drop off some parts for Feriko when I spot a brightly-colored blob in the far distance on the highway. Extra striking was a hint of a yellow number plate, which Malaysian cars do not have.
I might have cut off a car to get a better look (I blame the road design), and lo and behold, it is a Singaporean car!
A fellow classic owner had driven all the way up to Penang! A two-tone Volkswagen Beetle cabriolet.
Older Singaporean models almost never drive up this high – majority inevitably being newer models and particularly new Chinese EVs. This wasn’t the first Singaporean car spotted in my time in December, but it is the first one made before 2020.
