Fuel for Thought: Who made this wheel?

I’ve been offered a set of alloys by a friend, but what are they?
Having just been offered and received a set of wheels by a friend and fellow young classic owner, I’ve been trying to dig my head around what these wheels could be.

My only indicator is that it says RW on the dish of the wheel, and behind one spoke says DAX.

A close indicator is that these are a replica or reproduction wheel of a Borbet set.
Borbet wheels themselves aren’t as documented as wheels from the Japanese, so finding an exact link proved difficult.

I couldn’t figure out the provenance of the wheels – I probably won’t ever know, since there isn’t any information online for them. Some photos exist from other people, but they also don’t know what it is either. The wheel specs are 15”, ET25, likely 7J. The lug pattern is a 4×100.

All four wheels need a super good clean plus center caps as I tore one off by accident. I have in mind some designs that could be done custom since the cap is a 45mm. These are a universal size that are produced by some resellers.
I have ideas for these wheels, primarily via a phase fawning over Euro aftermarket/OEM sets – companies like AZEV and Zender are companies I would look for.

I have the idea of using them on the Civic, but shipping the wheels from Singapore up to Penang is going to be a costly affair. The thought lingers but it won’t happen.
Thanks to @ace.lude21 for these alloys, judging by the center cap I could guess where these might have come from 😂

To update on these wheels past writing this article, the wheels have since been traded in to secure a different set. Unfortunately these were sacrificed for a set of replicas, but I was advised against installing due to the sharp scuffs from curb rash. Rest easy, RWs.
